Come out and laugh, sing and cry along to Pillow Fite (w/ full band) Friday, April 19th, as the duo releases their new single, Alma, at the Seahorse Tavern. Joining the band will be Halifax's favourite Twitch troubadour, Alanna Matty, and electro-pop powerhouse, Izra Fitch.

Pillow Fite is Halifax, Nova Scotia’s most exciting new musical duo. Pairing tender, heart-on-your-sleeve lyrics with catchy alt-rock instrumentals and folky ballads, the genre lines get blurred in a way that keeps the project dynamic and binge-worthy, while giving listeners all of the feels. As a trans non-binary fronted band, Pillow Fite strive to represent queer experiences both on and off stage, and work hard to perform in safe and inclusive spaces. Pillow Fite are releasing their new single, Alma, on April 19 and are putting the finishing touches on their debut full length due for release in Fall 2024.

Izra Fitch introduces her alt-pop revolution. The front woman pulls from her reality and delusions to produce the high-emotion music and intense visuals she is known for. Influenced heavily by film, the queer pop artist takes personal moments and places focused, daring pop soundtracks to them. The sincere connection with her audience is then met with a drama-filled live show to bring her nostalgias further to life. 

Equated to Catbear, Lorde and Florence Welch, Fitch is writing fresh alternative music. Her latest single ‘California’ sets a new stride for Izra Fitch - using her voice and production exactly how she needs to, to capture the moment, fiercely.

Alanna Matty is a musician and producer originally from Toronto, now living in Halifax NS. Perfectly blending bedroom pop with indie folk, Alanna’s music has a way of being both incredibly personal and instantly relatable, a recipe that tends to cast a spell on audiences with its sonic empathy.
