About the Artists

Originally from Chicago, Pete Carney serves as Director of Jazz at the State College of Florida in Venice. He has toured internationally in jazz, blues, and gospel settings and performed with Grammy-winning artists including Kirk Franklin, Tito Puente, the Winans, Milt Jackson, Curtis Fuller, Arturo Sandoval, and Otis Clay. Carney has also developed Interactive Listening, a methodology designed to deepen the way audiences experience music.

Singer Scotty Wright has been a mainstay in the Tampa Bay area for several years after relocating from San Francisco. Known for his swinging style and inventive interpretations, Wright continues to engage audiences with fresh perspectives on familiar repertoire.
