Calgary, as Pride weekend draws to a close, prepare to immerse yourself in something truly special. The PEACH PIT Party is an alluring queer DJ dance event, designed for those who appreciate captivating rhythms, irresistible energy, and an unforgettable atmosphere.

 

Hosted by your very own MollyFi of Girls on Decks, we're transforming BLOX Arts Centre into the city's most exhilarating and inclusive safe space. Girls On Decks provides a safe club space for dominant women, poets, gay men and lesbians, free-thinking heterosexuals, transvestites and transsexuals, fetish-dressers, bisexuals, and those who love them. If you have a problem with this, please don't come in. Join us to dance freely, connect authentically, and celebrate with every beat as we perfectly cap off Pride.

 

We're beyond excited to feature our phenomenal headliners, the one and only DJ AWOOD, from Vancouver! As a non-binary artist, AWOOD curates electrifying sets spanning techno, trance, house, and breaks. They have ignited dance floors across the West Coast, showcasing their masterful sound at renowned festivals such as Shambhala, Re-Union and soon to be Basscoast! AWOOD's sets are not just about the music; they're about creating a transcendent, celebratory experience that embodies diversity, freedom, and joy for every body on the dance floor. Prepare for a set that's as exhilarating as it is deeply moving.

And get ready to groove! EMERENCZ, the super talented DJ, producer, and mastermind behind OBSKUR MUSIC, is bringing their magic back to Nelson, British Columbia! ✨

This lovely artist started out as a classically trained musician before diving headfirst into the awesome world of Northwestern Canadian electronic music in 2009. EMERENCZ finds their inspiration in the most wonderful places: soaking up the vibes in underground DIY queer spaces and dancing the night away in the very cities where house and techno were born. How cool is that?!

Their sound is totally enchanting, blending bubbly, groovy, psy, textural, acid house, and a dash of 90s-influenced techno – it's like a musical hug! As a proud Girls On Decks Alum, we are absolutely thrilled to welcome EM back to their home turf for what's sure to be an unforgettable, smile-inducing time!

The night will also feature a stellar lineup of talent, including our local legend MollyFi, whose signature open-format style always sets the perfect tone, along with incredible supporting sets from DJ Good Medicine, Jes. b, Baby.teeth.exe, and Tam. These artists are ready to bring the heat and keep the energy soaring!
