Description
June 29 – 7:00 PM | Spirit in Niagara Distillery
Music Niagara is delighted to welcome back acclaimed Canadian jazz pianist Paul Tobey, who calls Niagara-on-the-Lake home. Tobey launched his deeply personal album “It’s Time” with Music Niagara in 2024 at Spirit in Niagara, and we are thrilled to welcome him back to share this beautiful and reflective music once again.
“It’s Time” is a romantic and soulful solo piano recording featuring timeless melodies selected by more than 12,000 jazz piano enthusiasts worldwide who follow Tobey’s popular YouTube channel JazzMentl. Recorded on his beloved Ibach grand piano in his home studio, the album represents a powerful moment of artistic renewal—a heartfelt return to the piano after two decades devoted to mentoring, composing, and reflecting on life’s journey.
Internationally respected in the jazz community, Paul Tobey has performed alongside leading artists including Terry Clarke, Pat LaBarbera, Mike Murley, and Neil Swainson, and has collaborated with orchestras on major works such as the celebrated Road to Santiago Suite. His distinguished career includes a Juno Award nomination for Best Contemporary Jazz Album, along with multiple honours for Jazz Album of the Year and Pianist of the Year.
Set in the intimate atmosphere of Spirit in Niagara Distillery, this special concert promises an evening of expressive jazz piano, lyrical beauty, and deeply personal storytelling through music.
Guests are strongly encouraged to make dinner reservations directly with Spirit in Niagara prior to the concert to enjoy the full experience. Reservations can be made by calling 905-934-1300.
An evening of elegance, reflection, and world-class jazz piano—live with Music Niagara.
