The Beaumont Studios and Snowed In Comedy Tours present COMEDY IN THE COURTYARD

We are delighted to bring back one of our favourite outdoor events from 2021.  Comedy In the Courtyard is coming in hot for 4 extra special nights featuring some of the finest comedians around.  

On select Fridays (Aug 5, 19, 26 and Sept 2) we will fire up the old trailer bar, and open up our outdoor space for a night of and laughter and libations.

Damonde recently became the first Canadian winner in the 27 year history of the illustrious Seattle International Comedy Competition. He has been hailed in the Globe & Mail as comedy's new superhero. An absolutely unique act and perhaps this country's finest comedic storyteller.

Damonde's credits include CTV's Comedy Now, three appearances on CBC's Madly Off In All Directions, Just For Laughs, Chicago Comedy Festival, New York Comedy Festival, HBO's USA vs. Canada Stand-Up weekend, winner of the 2006 Seattle International Comedy Competition, creator of the Vancouver Comedy Festivals “ Glossy Awards Show”, writer/ producer and star of the film Comedy Club – nominated for best picture at the 2000 Reel Madness Comedy Film Festival. As well as numerous film and T.V. appearances.

Recently he served as the west coast correspondent for This Hour Has 22 Minutes.

 

SOPHIA JOHNSON

 

Sophia Johnson is an actor and comedian from NZ. You might have seen her on netflix’s ‘Ash vs the Evil Dead’, or CW’s ‘legends of tomorrow’ and ‘Nancy Drew’ She has performed at three NZ international comedy festivals, including her sell out show ’50 minutes plus laughs’. She also worked for several years as a writer on hit NZ comedy TV show ‘7 days’.

She performs regularly at comedy clubs in Vancouver and was fast tracked by Yuk Yuks comedy club.

Think of your wildest story. The one you love to tell people at parties. Chris Griffin has A LOT of them, and his comedy show is the party to share them with you. Having established himself as one of comedy’s most dynamic storytellers, Griffin lives life with reckless abandon both on and off stage – always chasing a crazy new experience. After winning a regional comedy competition a year into his career, he sold his house, quit his job and began touring the country telling jokes. In recent years, Griffin has won the Vancouver Yuk Off Comedy Competition, made the finals of the prestigious San Francisco International Comedy Competition, appeared six years in a row at the Just For Laughs Northwest Festival, along the way sharing the stage with notable comics such as Norm MacDonald, Doug Stanhope, Fortune Feimster, Tom Papa, Dulcé Sloan, Bert Kreischer, Mark Normand and fellow bad dude Bret “The Hitman“ Hart. The past two years Griffin has been nominated for 5 and took home 2 Vancouver Comedy Awards, including Best Comedian on Tour. Watch out for his second full length comedy album to be released in 2021 with 800 Pound Gorilla Records.

Dan Quinn is a natural storyteller and has a unique ability to take tales from his life and bring them to the stage in a hilarious way. He has established himself as one of the top comedians in Canada as well as touring in England, the U.S., France and Australia. He is founder and member of the biggest comedy tour in Canada, the Snowed In Comedy Tour.

He was the winner of The Canadian comedy competition at Just for Laughs and was chosen Best of the Fest at the Moncton Hubcap Comedy festival. He has been seen on CBC, CTV and the Comedy Network and heard on Sirius/ XM Radio as well as the Debater’s radio show. The Snowed In Comedy Tour has 5 TV specials on Chek TV.

When Dan is not on the road doing comedy he continues to build his acting resume. He can be seen in the TV shows Arrow, Salvation, Murders, Travellers and Valley of the Boom. Originally from Northern Alberta he now resides in Vancouver.
