Otis Strange

Get ready for a fabulous evening of original music from two of Ottawa’s most fun and fantastically creative music groups! 

Otis Strange is an original Canadian Roots Rock band that formed in 1992 in Ottawa, Ontario. The name derives from a line in Shakespeare’s Hamlet “O’tis strange the night…” The band’s present-day style is an eclectic funky acoustic vibe with a percussive twist. The members are Jonny Olsen (Jonny O) on drums, Dave Matsukubo (Kubo) on bass, Nelson Hursti (Nelly) on guitar,  Heather Birchard (Asia) on lead and backup vocals, and Dave MacLachlan (Mug) on lead vocals and percussion.

Karen Harrison Duo is a local Ottawa-based act mixing fun covers with Karen’s original folk-rock-pop songs, brought to life with captivating vocals, harmonies, and lyrics. Backed by dynamic drummer Danae Tsikouras on drums/percussion, their shows are high-energy, interactive, and unforgettable.
