Description

OMATSURI – Calgary Japanese Festival  is coming to the summer scene August 9th & 10th, 2024. The festival will showcase your favourite food, drinks and a market full of Japanese treasures.  Friday night’s entertainment will be a modern contemporary mix of themed events.  The entertainment for  Saturday will be a more traditional cultural mix of  music, dancing, drumming and karate.

Omatsuri 2024 takes place August 9 & 10 at Max Bell Centre 

By popular demand, Omatsuri will once again be a two-day event, with our team of dedicated organizers planning an expanded programme for both days. With that in mind, this year we are introducing a Weekend Pass that saves you 25%!

Purchasing in advance online is optional but recommended. Tickets will be available for purchase at the gate for both dates/events.

One of the highlights of OMATSURI has always been the wonderful variety of Japanese performance arts and martial arts demonstrations. This year, we are excited to showcase the rich Japanese heritage and traditions by promoting many talented performers.

2024 will see the return of the Cultural Stage, highlighting demonstrations of the many traditional Japanese arts.
