The Grindstone Comedy Fest presents a one hour performance of Stand Up comedy featuring headliner Ola Dada w/ Isabel Zaw-Tun, Tesh Aytenfisu & Moe Aden

Ola Dada

Ola Dada is a Nigerian-born comedian who recently hosted the 2025 JUNO Awards for Comedy Album of the Year, further cementing his place as a rising star in Canadian comedy. Ola first gained national attention as a runner-up in the Canada-wide SiriusXM Top Comic Competition, later solidifying his talent as a semifinalist on Canada’s Got Talent 2022. He also placed 2nd in the Seattle International Comedy Competition, the largest and longest-running comedy competition in North America.

He has since performed at top comedy festivals, including Just For Laughs in Vancouver, Montreal, and Toronto, where he headlined his own show. Notably, he graced the stage at the Patton Oswalt Gala in Montreal and was featured in the 2024 Winnipeg Comedy Festival. In 2024, he performed at Skankfest in Las Vegas, and in 2025, he is set to appear at both the Halifax Comedy Festival and Grindstone Comedy Festival. Ola has also toured across Canada multiple times, bringing his signature blend of personal storytelling and sharp cultural commentary to audiences nationwide.

Ola’s comedy has been featured twice on CBC Gem in dedicated comedy episodes, and he released his first comedy special, Unlimited Dada, along with his debut comedy album, Dada Plan. He also appeared on CBC’s The Debaters with Steve Patterson in 2024, and will return for the 2025 edition, showcasing his comedic chops in one of Canada’s most beloved radio comedy shows.

He has been spotlighted in major media outlets including Maclean’s, The Guardian, Vancouver Sun, E! Talk, SiriusXM, CBC with Tom Power, Vancouver Is Awesome, and the Vancouver Guardian, cementing his status as one of Canada’s most exciting and dynamic comedic voices.
