Odd Stillness Release Party

Come celebrate the release of Jeremy Gignoux's latest album: Odd Stillness. The record is profoundly experimental, and so the release party will be unusual, as the attendees will be invited to sit or lie down to experience the album in a deep listening experience.

Looking away from harmonic progression and instrumental virtuosity, the album embraces stagnation, inviting the listener to contemplate the serenity or tension within the moment. Like an ambivalent musical meditation, Odd stillness doesn't  pretend that introspection is all blissful. Stillness can be relaxing, but it can also be frustrating, maddening, joyful, voluptuous, or bleak.

The album features several Mohkinstsis/Calgary musicians: André Wickenheiser, Carsten Rubeling, Jiajia Li, Keith Rodger, Mark DeJong, Rebecca Bruton, and Robin Tufts.
