The Nutcracker

The Nutcracker is performed by the Texas Metropolitan Ballet. The Nutcracker is a ballet that tells the story of a young girl, Clara, who befriends a Nutcracker, given to her by her mysterious godfather, that magically comes to life on Christmas Eve. Clara and the Nutcracker, that has now transformed into a prince, must battle the evil Mouse King. Clara and the prince then travel to the Land of Sweets, ruled by the Sugar Plum Fairy in the Prince's place until his return. He recounts for the Sugar Plum Fairy how he was saved from the Mouse King by Clara.
