Nuestras Voces: Stories of Resilience

Nuestras Voces: Stories of Resilience features the Guadalupe Dance Company and musicians of Mariachi Azteca de America as well as Conjunto Guadalupe in a culturally significant dance production that sets out to take back the narrative and unveil the inspirational stories of our Mexican American leaders. Over its 34 years, the Guadalupe Dance Company has made a priority of giving the Mexican American voice a place in its vast repertoire of original choreography. Fusing traditional Folklorico dance with contemporary themes and movement, Nuestras Voces rediscovers historical leaders in the Mexican American community whose contributions and leadership paved the way for change.  Nuestras Voces takes audiences on an unexpected journey of enlightenment and empowerment.
