Description

NOFX - 40 YEARS OF FUCKIN’ UP chronicles the chaotic four-decade career of the punk rock band NOFX.

Formed in Los Angeles in 1983, NOFX's mainstream success coincided with increased interest in punk rock during the 1990s, but unlike many of their contemporaries, they were never been signed to a major label. The documentary details the bands storied history as drug-addled teen punks-turned-icons. Directed by Calgary alumnus James Buddy Day (CUFF 2017 Selection MANSON: THE VOICE OF MADNESS) and produced by NOFX bassist and lead vocalist Fat Mike, 40 YEARS OF FUCKIN’ UP features interviews with fellow NOFX band members guitarist Eric Melvin, lead guitarist Aaron ‘El Hefe’ Abeyta, and drummer Erik Sandin. The film explores the band's history of survival, excess, and self-destruction.
