Description

Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee Nick Gilder’s first group was Sweeney Todd, earning their rock wings playing every conceivable venue in the seventies, quickly evolving into a recording act. The first studio LP had the huge #1 Juno-winning and multi-platinum song Roxy Roller! A true classic. Founding members Nick and Jim the authors.
Nick scored again with another #1 Juno winner Hot Child in the City, and co-wrote another #1, The Warrior. These days Nick and Sweeney are rocking the Festivals, Casino showrooms, Fairs, and more, playing the classics Hot Child in the City, Roxy Roller, Here Comes the Night, Rated X, You Really Rock Me, Let Me In, etc.
Having toured with The Cars, Cheap Trick, Peter Gabriel, Foreigner, Styx and Journey and a recent appearance on the George Stroumboulopoulos show with the group Mother Mother are among the many appearances and presentations.
The years have seen Nick work with some of the world’s most famous Producers including the Beatles’ George Martin, Mike Chapman (Blondie), Pete Coleman (Pat Benatar), etc. Writing hits for some of the business’s top performers, including Bette Midler, Patty Smyth & Scandal, Pat Benatar, Joe Cocker, Toni Basil etc. The variety of artists who have covered his songs testify to his diverse influences, totalling over 20 million copies sold worldwide.
Nick together with Dave Groves on guitar, Mark Kenny on bass, Glen Regnier on drums, and Michael Russell on keyboards, deliver a powerhouse performance that will include past hits, great new material and some faves that make an epic show!

A local rock band featuring, Kyle Emmerson, Derek Lenz, Mack Hollman, Mason Ristau, Bruce Wolfe. They’ll rock The LIDO stage playing all your favorites from the 70’s to the 2000’s.
