Nick Ellis band is exploding on to the scene as one of Vancouver’s top country groups.
Formed through love of music, the band takes influence from all types of music including jazz, rock, pop, and classic as well as modern country.
The core group consists of Capilano University music students Nick Varelas (vocals), Adrian Sowa (guitar) and Francis Henson (guitar), who take these musical styles and infuse them into a signature modern country sound.

Smooth harmony of two voices blending together so hauntingly perfectly, almost as if they were from the same DNA. That's exactly what you get with Son of John, a father-son country/folk music duo from Nelson, BC. With Johnny's lyrics and soulful voice and Javan's instrumentations and rasp, their sound is unlike anything people have ever heard. They discovered something magical happening while they toured Johnny's solo album together. There's something about family and blood that can't be matched. So, Son of John was born as an official duo in 2017. Johnny P. brings his natural vocal talent, creative harmonica and strong rhythm guitar to the pair. His passion for musical storytelling as an avid songwriter is a feature of the Son of John music, writing songs about the simplicities and complexities of life from his experiences and those around him. Javan has been following in his dad's footsteps, dabbling in songwriting too. As a talented multi-instrumentalist, Javan uses his classical training and gifted ear to feature both fiddle and mandolin in many Son of John songs. The bond that they have, not only as father and son, but as true musicians with raw talent sharing the stage with a sound that only family can create, the future is promising for Son of John.

They say that music is the language of the soul, and nothing could be more true for this musician. Josh David has earned an admirable reputation as a talented musician, skillful performer, and inspirational artist. His profound songwriting ability captures audiences and takes them for a journey down memory lane. From his live shows, to studio sessions and more, Josh David continues to touch the hearts of his fans. His stories, rich voice and beautiful dynamic performances speak for themselves.
Josh David has been performing in live music venues since a young age and is quickly becoming a local favourite and performs regularly, totalling more than 100 shows a year. He has performed at The Kitchener Bluesfest seven years in row and has performed alongside the likes of, Juno award winning Steve Strongman, Rob Szabo, Shaun Kellerman, and members of The Western Swing Authority and opening for Aaron Pritchett, Meghan Patrick and The Reklaws, to working with some of the biggest names in the recording industry, such as Jason Barry, David Kalmusky, Emma-Lee, Byron Hill and Jeff Johnson.
Josh David is one to watch in 2019.

Meeting in East Vancouver in the 1980’s we kept in touch, played together at a few house parties and got together as a duet in 2017 to play some coffee-houses and university radio shows. In late 2017 , we found ourselves in a studio recording a batch of new tunes with Jesse Waldman twisting the dials. A few months later we emerged with an album of roots, country, folk, country rock music, hand-made with minimal fuss, mostly live performances. We made the music available for your download and listening pleasure on Spotify, iTunes and CD Baby. Also looking forward to playing’ our tunes live for your club dates, house-parties, barbecues and street parties this summer. Give us a shout!
