NSM will be joined by the captivating harmonic voices of Ferrona as well as Cape Breton-based songstress Elyse Aeryn in her Glasgow Square debut.

NEON SOUL MACHINE

Neon Soul Machine (NSM) is a 10-piece party band based in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, with a setlist inspired by everything soulful and groovy, from Motown hits of decades past to funk-inspired renditions of modern-day pop tunes. Founded by frontwoman Robyn Alcorn-Martin in 2018, this band features some of the most in-demand performers in the Pictou County area.

Despite an unplanned and lengthy hiatus brought on by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, this powerhouse of a band has returned to the stage in full force, and stronger and tighter than ever. Neon Soul Machine takes the concept of the cover band to the next level, exploring the richness and authenticity of the collection of songs they carefully curate through a roster of musicians that includes no fewer than five singers, a four-piece horn section, and a world-class backing band.

For Ferrona, music is a family affair; this trio of powerful voices is a collaboration of Lynn, Sandra, and Ainsley DeCoste, combining an impressive array of original pop, rock, and folk tunes with an extensive repertoire of covers and other favorites.

ELYSE AERYN

Elyse Aeryn is emerging on the Canadian music scene with a fresh yet nostalgic sound, reminiscent of 90s alternative with a rock & roll influence. She has legitimized herself as a CBC Searchlight Top 100 artist, a regional finalist in the Jim Beam National Talent Search, and with two #1 songs on the 97.5 Community Radio East Coast 30. The live-off-the-floor performance of 'East Coast Winter', now with more than 200,000 Facebook views, has reached the hearts of east coasters across the country.

Aeryn is currently working on her second album with the first single, Bittersweet High, now available on all streaming platforms. Influenced by classic rock heroes like Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty, while capturing the essence of 90s female vocalists like Alanis Morissette and Natalie Merchant, Aeryn is blending genres and decades to mix up an alternative-rock-country cocktail that will have you asking for a double.
