On screen August 11 at the BMO Studio Theatre: Returning to cinemas for the first time in over a decade, Helen Mirren stars as Queen Elizabeth II in the award-winning The Audience, directed by Stephen Daldry. Through the Queen’s private meetings with 12 prime ministers, from Winston Churchill to David Cameron, the play reveals the woman behind the crown and key moments of her reign. Written by Peter Morgan (The Crown), this acclaimed West End production became one of NT Live’s most-watched events. Note: this is a video screening and not a live performance.
