Description
Why did a 23-year-old woman from Olympia, Washington, leave her comfortable American life to stand between a bulldozer and a Palestinian home?
My Name is Rachel Corrie is a compelling one-woman play drawn from the real diaries, emails, and letters of Rachel Corrie- a young American activist who traveled to Gaza in 2003 and was killed while protesting the demolition of Palestinian homes.
Edited by actor Alan Rickman and journalist Katharine Viner, this raw and powerful piece captures Rachel’s fierce idealism and unflinching humanity. The play reveals the inner life of a young woman searching for meaning in a complex world — and the price she paid for standing up for what she believed in.
Starring Brenna Stewart and directed by Mitzi Jones, this thought-provoking production comes to qathet for FOUR unforgettable performances November 21, 22, 23.
