Description
In this workshop, we’ll weave together creativity, rhythm, and storytelling through dance and movement. Led by Kalem Mahaffy with special guest Ashley Burton Rantala.
Kalem will teach a Musical Theatre routine in the style of a dance call (theatre dance audition) and review strategies to pick up choreography and make it your own. Kalem is trained in Ballroom styles and Irish Step Dance. She has 10+ years of audition experience, and has been a Choreographer and Dance Captain for several shows in Sudbury.
Ashley will lead a 75-minute creative movement journey that invites participants to explore the body as a source of intuition, creativity, and expression. Ashley is the Founder of Dancer’s Den and Executive Director of the Burton Family Foundation. This class blends guided exploration, improvisation, and embodied awareness to awaken authentic movement and deepen connection to self. Open to all levels and bodies.
Designed for people ages 12-80!
