The 1950s high school dream is about to explode in this rollicking musical that is both an homage to the idealism of the fifties and a satire of high schoolers' age-old desire to be provocative and rebellious. The duck-tailed, hot-rodding "Burger Palace Boys" and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking "Pink Ladies" sing and dance through such hit songs as "Greased Lightnin'", "We Go Together" and "You're the one that I want" as head "greaser" Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the romance of their "Summer Nights".

Grease is recommended for ages 14 and up. While the overall tone of the show is lighthearted there is some adult subject matter such as sexual innuendo, drinking and smoking. If you plan to bring younger children please be aware of this.

Grease also contains language that is widely considered inappropriate for the current day. McMaster Musical Theatre in no way condones hateful or discriminatory behaviour and encourages the audience to be critical of the behaviours and language used on stage.

The McMaster Musical Theatre company put on its first show onstage in 1983. Today, 40 years later, we have become a staple of both the McMaster and Hamilton theatre communities. Our purpose is to bring professional-calibre productions to McMaster while creating a supportive environment where performers, technicians, musicians, and artists can grow. MMT prides itself on being an inclusive and welcoming place for individuals from all walks of life. We strive to bring together people of all genders, ages, sexual orientations, races, and religions. No experience required, just passion!
