Supporting their sophomore album Alien Love Songs, which reached #10 on the National Earshot! Jazz Charts, Midnight Channel blends the boundary-pushing spirit of 1960s cosmic free jazz with contemporary post-bop, Japanese fusion, and neo-soul grooves. Their live shows move between deep grooves, open improvisation, and moments that feel completely unplanned.

Whiling (Edmonton):

Featuring members of Edmonton's music scene known for playing with Pallor, Pigeon Breeders, Mbira Renaissance, and more, Whiling debuted at the Edmonton Jazz Festival in 2023 before appearing at Sled Island and Winterruption. Their debut album reached #1 on the CJSR Top 30 and Jazz charts and spent eight weeks on the CJSR and CJSW charts.

CBC's Tarik Robinson called it “an atmospheric, instrumental journey,” while Cups N Cakes' Jeff MacCallum described it as a “silky-smooth modern progressive cocktail.”
