Guided Walking Tours at The Confluence 

Dates: Wed-Sun starting June 3 
Times: 10:30 am & 2 pm 
Cost: $20-25 (includes tour and admission to The Confluence Cultural Centre) 
Ages: 12-16+ 

During the summer months, The Confluence offers walking tours Wednesday through Sunday at 10:30 am and 2 pm. These tours change daily and will cover a mix of our most popular tours covering a range of topics, stories and perspectives — from the history of Calgary’s formation and colonialism to stories of communities and people often overlooked by history books.

Métis Memory on the Landscape 

 

In 1881, Métis people made up two-thirds of the population settled around the confluence of the rivers in Calgary. This tour explores how these original Métis communities shaped many of the neighbourhoods integral to Calgary's identity. From the oldest building still in its original location to currently unfolding community efforts, explore Métis culture, its place within the history of Mohkinstsis, and the influence Métis people still continue to hold within these spaces.
