Inspired by the remarkable events of 16th-century France, the musical follows a woman whose husband disappears, only for a man claiming to be him to return years later. As questions of identity, love and loyalty begin to unfold, the community must determine who is telling the truth. Martin Guerre explores passion, deception and justice through a gripping story of mistaken identity.
