 Marie and Meckling: 

Teresa Marie and Tess Meckling have been a part of Vancouver’s music scene for the past 4 years. The two vocalists met at Capilano University where both of them studied under esteemed jazz musicians such as Jennifer Scott, Brad Turner, and Steve Maddock. They share a love for not only music from the jazz tradition but also folk, rnb, pop, and soul. Their original music ponders heartbreak, loss, and the struggle of taking up space as women in society, striking a unique blend of catchy melodies overtop modern jazz harmony, underpinned by funky rhythmic basslines. Teresa (voice) and Tess (voice & keys) will have you grooving, swaying, and perhaps even reminiscing for a love you never had.
