DirectHer and YWCA Edmonton are excited to present: Board Camp!

What to expect: This workshop will run from 9 AM - 4:30 PM on March 12, 2022 (with breaks throughout).  Our goal is for you to leave feeling ready to apply for that first or second not-for-profit board position! Sessions covered will include:

• 9 AM - 10:30 AM: Board Basics

• 10:45 AM - 12:15 PM Financial Literacy

• 1:15 - 2:45 PM: How to be a Strategic Director

• 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM: How to Build an Impactful Board Resume

• 4:00 - 4:30 PM: Final Q&A/Networking 

Who should attend? This event is for those who are new/newer to governance, or looking for a refresher on foundational concepts. The sessions in this workshop will be focused on not for profit board governance. 

Pricing and location:  This event will be held in-person at YWCA Edmonton's Cushing House AND streamed virtually. Due to limited seating, we ask that in-person participants attend all four sessions. Virtual participants can attend one, two, three or all sessions.  Tickets are available on a "pay what you can" basis, with a suggested minimum donation of $40 for the day (or a suggested minimum donation of $10/session, if attending virtually). 

If cost is a barrier, please contact info@directhernetwork.com to inquire into our Scholarship program (we do not want cost to be a barrier to your access to the governance space!). Please note - ticket sales are final. At this time, a recording of the workshop will not be available. 

Following registration, workshop materials (and a zoom link for those attending virtually) will be emailed to you the week of March 7, 2022.
