Over 8 incredible concerts, we make music with local heroes, old friends, and creative innovators at Crescent Arts Centre (unless otherwise noted). Live the Music with us in 2024-25.

A LEAN NEW TICKETING SYSTEM! 

We’ve moved to Showpass for improved online delivery of tickets! It’s a nice change-up. 

If you know which concerts you’d like to attend, and want just one ticket per concert, we recommend our traditional 8- and 6-ticket Subscription. That’s one ticket for every show of your choice. Click BUY TICKETS, adjust the quantity in your cart, and choose your concerts (for a custom mix, please call the office at 204-783-7377).

A CLEAN NEW SEATING PLAN 

The MCO is now offering two seating sections at Crescent Arts Centre (see seat map below). We're happy to offer Section A seating for people who love to get close to the action. Meanwhile, our no-bad-seats Section B offers one of the most affordable performing arts experiences in the province. Rush seating applies within both sections as usual, so don't worry about picking a specific seat in advance. All concerts at Crescent Arts Centre, unless otherwise noted. Tickets are general admission for shows at Desautels Concert Hall and the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.

The visionary Cree-Métis baritone sings baroque and urgent new musical lamentations. Guiding you through stirring discoveries, disruptions, and landscapes, this concert will leave you changed.

Karl Stobbe, violin and leader; Andrew Armstrong, piano  
A voyage from Bach’s serene waters to stormy Shostakovich and back. At the helm: MCO’s concertmaster, the great Karl Stobbe. 

3 / DIALOGUE

Simone Dinnerstein, piano; Awadagin Pratt, piano; Anne Manson, conductor  
A miraculous meeting of two piano giants — harmonizing, counterpointing, and speaking directly to the soul through Bach’s and Mozart’s intricate double piano concertos.

David Braid, piano-composer; Mark Fewer, violin; Anne Manson, conductor 
After stays in Hollywood, Armenia, and everywhere between, “Canada’s true renaissance man” (Ottawa Sun) Braid arrives triumphantly to MCO’s stages with rock-star composers Reich, Lizée, Montghomery, and Dessner. 

5 / LULLABY OF THE SNOW

Allen Harrington, saxophone; David Bui, conductor  
Winnipegger Allen Harrington is one of Canada’s finest wind players. He makes  Sally Beamish’ iconic saxophone concerto absolutely sing in this concert warmly  ushering in the spring.

Aisslinn Nosky, violin and leader; Caitlin Broms-Jacobs, oboe
Canada’s famous violinist-conductor reminds us why Bach called music “a refreshment of the soul” in this escape to the otherworldly sounds of Penderecki, Morlock, Vivaldi and B himself.

Gather and warm yourself by the fire. Through sublime music, spoken word, and the sounds of nature, the trailblazing cellist-composer immerses us in stories about humanity’s connection to the earth.

Sunrise over Grenada, a bustling Armenian market, the sidewalk bars of Italy — against the backdrops our music conjures, Canada’s most famous musical siblings unleash fireworks.
