Indie-pop artists Madi Allen and FONTINE hit the legendary King Eddy on November 21.

About Madi Allen:

Madi Allen is known around Calgary as an indie pop/alternative artist, and a passionate singer and performer. She captivates audiences with her talent and undeniable stage presence. While either performing her original tunes, and other people’s requests at Aussie Rules Piano bar, her music promotes connection. With a versatile voice that transcends genres, she effortlessly navigates the realms of both pop, rock and even jazz, accommodating any audience. Madi's skillful execution and emotional depth shine through every note she sings. Because of her work as a music therapist, and her position at dueling piano bars, Madi possesses a vast repertoire, as well as the ability to swiftly learn almost any song. She is set to release a brand new EP that she has been working on with Jeff Kynoch at Acme Recorders. The album will be out early 2025, and Madi is planning a western Canadian tour to promote it. Whether it is a vibrant pop hit, or a soulful blues ballad, Madi's musical adaptability knows no bounds.

About FONTINE:

Indie-folk/pop artist FONTINE from Winnipeg, MB, is making waves. A queer and Indigenous musician of Nehiyaw Iskwew heritage, her debut EP, co-produced with friends Kris Ulrich and mixed by Boy Golden, dropped in February this year. Inspired by the prairies and the Winnipeg music scene, her music is a fusion of culture and creativity. FONTINE's single "Homemaker" reached number one on the Indigenous Music Countdown, and she recently graced CBC's "The Intro" stage. With roots in her heritage and her home, FONTINE's music is a captivating journey.
