THE COMMONERS

Possessing a sound tapped from the oaken belly of a whiskey barrel, The Commoners are a 5 piece Roots/Rock outfit from Toronto, Canada. Offering their own blend of a tried and true musical mixture, the group pepper their sound with high-energy riffs, soulful vocals, and rich harmonies that combine to take the listener on a journey through a Southern-style rock experience. Their 2022 release Find A Better Way is an album that demands attention from the first note. The opening lines, “If I scream at the top of my lungs, and stamp my feet ’till the floor comes undone,” immediately inform that a wild ride lies ahead. The Commoners crafted a record that strikes the perfect balance between old and new.

 

The Radiant

The words "wall of sound" are what come to mind when thinking of Saskatoon SK's, The Radiant. Incredibly heavy hitting, but doesn't shy away from taking you on a psychedelic journey. Female powerhouse vocals lead beside rhythmic guitars, fat bass lines, spacey synth and a solid beat keeping it together.
