Live Music at The Nick Presents Maggie's Wake with opener T.B.A.

Maggie’s Wake is a dynamic and refreshing band that blends the timeless roots of traditional folk with the energy of jazz, Americana, and classic country. Drawing on their heritage while forging new ground, their sound is both deeply rooted and wholly original. Creating a harmony-rich interplay that is the band’s signature is songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Tara Dunphy whose soulful lead vocals and mastery of tin whistle, flute, and fiddle shines through every performance.  Lindsay Schindler, is an internationally recognized fiddler and composer whose artistry is known for entrancing audiences. Rounding out the lineup is Andrew Kosty on upright and electric bass, and Ken Palmer on acoustic and electric guitar. Their 2024 self-titled debut album, Maggie’s Wake earned a 2025 Canadian Folk Music Award for Best New/Emerging Artist.  With their passion, precision, and originality, Maggie’s Wake continues to carve out an inspiring space in the contemporary folk music landscape.
