Check out our timeline to date! 

December 2018- The Leduc Country Lights announced it was their final season running the brilliant Christmas display that had delighted guests for a decade. 

Spring 2019 The Leduc Kinsmen partner with the Leduc West Antique Society in hopes to continue the legacy of Doug and Yvonne Ruel. 

Summer/ Fall 2019The Ruel's donate their massive collection of Christmas lights, and decorations to the Leduc Kinsmen who then  put in hundreds of hours with the movement of the donations from the original location, to it's new home at the Leduc West Antique Society. 

November 2019After over 1000+ volunteer hours, the Leduc Country Lights has found it's new home at the Leduc West Antique Society. The decorations and lights are up and finalized, two days before opening!

December 1, 2019 - The Grand Re-Opening of the Leduc Country Lights. Over 500 people attend! 

December 4, 2019 - After five days of operations, over 2000 people attend the lights! 

December 15, 2019 - After two weeks of operations, over 15,000 people walked through the gates to experience the lights. 

January 2, 2020 - The Leduc Country Lights closes its doors for the season, having had over 28,460 people attend. 

January 6, 2020 - The Leduc Kinsmen donate all food proceeds over the month to the Leduc & District Food Bank, totaling over 6,553LBS! 

January 15, 2020 - The official volunteer hours tally is in! 2,100 volunteer hours over the course of moving, setting up, and operating the lights for the season. 

May 30, 2020 - Due to COVID-19 Restrictions, the Leduc Kinsmen were able to FINALLY take down the Leduc Country Lights Exhibit. This was done safely and in accordance to all Alberta Legislation. 

November 2, 2020 - The Leduc Country Lights received approval to continue operations for the 2020 season. This is to be completed with AHS rules and regulations followed. 

November 30, 2020 - After 893 volunteer hours, the Leduc Country Lights are looking good to go for the 2020 season.

September 30, 2023 - Summary to date. Since the Kinsmen Club of Leduc has taken over the lights in 2019, we have had:

- 112,000 guest through the gate

- 12 tons of food donated to the Leduc and District Food Bank

- 7,500 volunteer hours in assembling, operation, and taking down of the light display.

Admission:

The Leduc Country lights relies on admission fees to assist with general maintenance, and most importantly...the cost of electricity! EVERY CENT of profit made is directly funded back into the community of Leduc, through various programs executed by the Leduc Kinsmen. Children under 2 years old are free!
