Description

Today, more than ever before, it is critical for our city’s workforce to be able to manage uncertainty, adapt to new roles and learn new skills quickly – in other words, be adaptable. Adaptable people can adjust to the dynamic context of the world in which we live. But how do we develop and flex these adaptability muscles? And how does Calgary’s workforce adapt to global shifts and trends to proactively create new opportunities for our city and community?

In this New Economy LIVE event, we will explore the future of Calgary as a city that embraces disruption as opportunity. A city that attracts investment and talent from across the globe because it’s known as a city that learns its way forward. A city where people seek out continuous learning opportunities to fuel their insatiable curiosity; who have the agility to create shared prosperity from an ever-changing world.

The event will begin with a presentation exploring how people and organizations can develop the competencies to prosper in the face of accelerating uncertainty. This will be followed by a panel exploring the factors that enable cities to adapt to ever changing environments.

This event will be offered in-person and live-streamed.
