Laugh Lab Comedy Jam with John Beuhler presented by Aesthetic Nation Gym

Aesthetic Nation Gym proudly presents the Laugh Lab Comedy Jam—a weekend of four completely different stand-up comedy shows featuring some of Canada's funniest comedians.

We're closing out the festival with a killer late show as John Beuhler takes the stage on Saturday, July 18 at 8:30 PM.

John started performing stand-up at just 19 years old and wasted no time making a name for himself. Before turning 25, he had starred in a snowboarding mockumentary, won the Just for Laughs Homegrown Comedy Competition, reached the finals of the Seattle International Comedy Competition, and filmed two nationally televised stand-up specials. He's now 45, and as John likes to point out, "nothing good has happened in the last twenty years."

That may be his version of the story, but audiences know better.

John has appeared on a Just For Laughs Gala, where his performance earned rave reviews. The Montreal Gazette wrote that when the gala seemed to be falling flat, "John Beuhler... took the stage. He slayed, and saved the night." He later won the Corner Gas Comedy Contest, taking home the $10,000 grand prize and appearing on Corner Gas alongside his mentor, Brent Butt.

Over the years, John has shared the stage with comedy legends including Dennis Miller, Brent Butt, Joan Rivers, Martin Short, Zach Galifianakis, and Craig Ferguson. His comedy is fearless, razor-sharp, and unapologetically smart, balancing clever writing with a style that's both provocative and laugh-out-loud funny. The Vancouver Sun summed it up best: "If the TV and movie executives who audit Beuhler don't make him a star, the world will have a lot less laughter in it."
