Ladies First! | Showcase vol. 66

This International Women's Day come join us for our 3rd annual LADIES FIRST showcase to stand in solidarity with our female artists and raise funds for the YWCA! 

Gender inequality in the art & music world is a huge issue, and one that is too often ignored or shrugged off as though it were something that can never be changed. We’re proving it can. 

We've partnered with the YWCA to get in line with their mission of helping to foster healthy women, healthy families, and thriving communities. Direct proceeds from admission, will be donated to the organization.

Come experience some of the most entertaining and fierce performers in the city as we challenge bias in the art world, together. 

Come see the soul of Justine Tyrell, Jazz of Joanna Borromeo, steps from illfx Apprentice, steeze from Ms. Teaze, Reggae beams from Sammy Jean and an O2 Dance Company masterpiece. Special guest appearances for this occassion from Ayoo Angie and the DJ selections of miss Jayemkayem - both ladies tearing it up in Toronto this past year.

Start the turn up in the Martketplace at 8pm on March 9th at Commonwealth Bar.
All ladies will recieve a glass of Martini Rose champagne (while supplies last).
Also, don't forget to wear some purple (International Women's Day color) while you come and show your support for accelerating the visibility and success of women in the art world.
