“Kutatás” (Koo-Tah-Tash) is a Hungarian word meaning research, exploration, or quest—and that spirit of discovery comes alive at Fathom in this exclusive wine makers dinner. Join us as we welcome Kutatás Winery from Salt Spring Island for an evening of Hungarian-inspired cuisine and exceptional wines.
Chef Landon Crawford, drawing on his Hungarian roots, has crafted a modern menu inspired by Hungarian flavours and traditions, thoughtfully paired with the distinctive wines of Kutatás. Winemakers Mira Tusz and Daniel Dragert cultivate estate vineyards on Salt Spring Island and in North Saanich, producing wines with minimal intervention, spontaneous fermentation, and remarkable textural depth.
This is a rare opportunity to explore their wines alongside Chef Crawford’s signature Hungarian dishes, crafted to enhance and celebrate each vintage.
