​HEAVY METAL TAKEOVER: FRANCO LOFFREDO PRESENTS KRUELTY, DEAD HEAT, AND DYING REMAINS w Dual Black & V.H.S.

​THUNDER BAY, ON — The underground scene in Port Arthur is about to get significantly heavier. Local music promoter Franco Loffredo is proud to announce the launch of a new, high-octane concert series at Bloom Nightclub (Red River Road). To mark the inaugural show, we are bringing a devastating triple-bill of international and homegrown talent to the downtown core, supported by Thunder Bay’s own VHS and Dual Black.

​The Lineup

​KRUELTY (Tokyo, Japan)

Formed in 2017, Tokyo’s Kruelty has quickly cemented their reputation as the premier force where heavy beatdown hardcore converges with 1990s American and Scandinavian death/doom metal. Known for their bone-crushing riffs and punishing breakdowns, they have become a global phenomenon in the extreme metal scene. Their debut full-length, A Dying Truth, and subsequent releases have set a blueprint for brutality that few can match.

​DEAD HEAT (Oxnard, California)

Representing the cutting edge of the crossover thrash movement, Dead Heat is a high-octane powerhouse that blends the speed of thrash metal with the grit of hardcore punk. With their 2025 Metal Blade Records release, Process of Elimination, the band has evolved into a "well-oiled machine," delivering aggressive, technical songwriting that feels both classic and dangerously urgent. They are renowned for their volatile, high-energy live sets that turn venues into pressure cookers.

​DYING REMAINS (Calgary, Alberta)

Representing the true spirit of the Canadian underground, Dying Remains is a death metal trio that channels the grime and horror of the early 90s era. With their 2025 debut Merciless Suffering, the band has gained critical acclaim for mashing together moshable grooves with a brutish, old-school death metal aesthetic. They bring a filthy, cavernous sound that perfectly complements the intensity of this tour package.

Joining the stage to represent the fierce Thunder Bay underground, the night will feature crushing support from local heavyweights VHS and Dual Black.
