The Knoxville Challenger, hosted by the Helen Ross McNabb Foundation, is a USTA pro-circuit event for rising professional tennis stars to enable them to earn ATP points. The tournament, which takes place at The University of Tennessee Goodfriend Tennis Center, brings professional tennis to Knoxville and has a proven track record of drawing the new wave of top tennis athletes. Become inspired and entertained as the pros compete for a total purse of $80,000 in prize money. The Knoxville Challenger is hosted in memory of Harry & Sarah Stowers, who were both passionate about the McNabb Center and had a long history supporting the Center and Foundation. They were both well-known for their kindness, generosity, integrity and humble spirit. Tournament proceeds benefit the McNabb Center, which provides mental health, substance use, social and victim services to nearly 45,000 individuals throughout East Tennessee from infancy through adulthood.
