Description
Choral singer Ari Agha is faced with this dilemma when they consider testosterone therapy, which could cost them their singing voice. A dire lack of research on the topic makes it an even tougher decision. In Key of T, Agha and Laura Hynes (School of Creative and Performing Arts) talk about researching what happens during a major voice transition and crafting a performance from the results.
On September 3, join us for a special screening of Key of T, followed by a talkback event with Dr. Agha and Dr. Hynes to discuss their important research supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC).
This event is co-hosted by Calgary Pride and UCalgary Knowledge Engagement.
Screening of the film is presented by the Calgary Queer Arts Society.

In the spirit of respect, reciprocity and truth, Calgary Pride, as an inhabitant of Calgary Alberta, honours and acknowledges Moh’kinsstis and the traditional Treaty 7 territory and oral practices of the Blackfoot confederacy: Siksika, Kainai, Piikani as well as the Lyarhe Nakoda and Tsuut’ina nations. We acknowledge that the territory we work and live upon is home to the Métis Nation of Alberta, Region 3 within the historical Northwest Métis homeland.
We thank these communities for their stewardship of the land we collectively inhabit today.
