Space Queen is the stoner rock evolution of power trio Jenna Earle (guitar/vocals), Seah Maister (bass/keys/vocals) and Karli MacIntosh (drums/vocals).
Space Queen takes the signature haunting vocal harmonies of the trio’s former folk project (Sound of the Sun) and sends them soaring over a cosmic canvas of neopsychedelic rock. Driving beats from MacIntosh provide an anchor for Earle’s heavy distortion and fuzzy 70s-style riffs, while Maister keeps everything grounded on bass, or shoots beyond the stratosphere with spacey synths and intergalactic organ.
The band released their debut EP in 2020 which garnered a ton of favourable press and college radio play, including landing on the earshot charts. Space Queen was featured on Nardwuar The Human Serviette’s radio show for a month leading up to their EP release.
Space Queen has thrived in 2021-2022 from opening for bands such as King Buffalo, Blackwater Holylight, The Well, RIP, Spirit Mother and Black Mastiff. The band also hit multiple festival stages including Massif Music fest, a headlining slot at Tune it down, Turn it up Festival, as well as playing virtual editions of Massif (and a compilation vinyl release featuring Space QUeen's single Battle Cry in lieu of 2021's Massif Festival) and Fallen Fest.
SQ’s sophomore EP will be released in the Spring of 2023, as well as a single mixed by Desert Rock legend Dave Catching. Plenty of plans are in the works for 2023. These next few years are shaping up to be busy ones!

SweetBeast is a psychedelic fuzz rock band that’s been tearing up the stage since their inception back in 2018. Comprised of four talented musicians who claim to have been placed on this earth for the sole purpose of creating music. Powerful vocals, fuzz heavy guitars, and a rhythm section that will keep you moving all night long, SweetBeast creates tunes akin to an acid trip in the 70s — ideal for headbanging and perfect for getting lost in.
Aside from creating music, these fellas run an annual music festival in Kelowna called ‘Tune It Down Turn It Up’, giving underground bands and artists a place to showcase their talents and connect with their local music scene.
SweetBeast is set to record their first album in 2023, and they couldn’t be more excited to release it upon the universe. For now, check out their live recordings of “Dreameater” and “Oh Lord” at bandcamp.

Originally from Vancouver, BC, Down the Lees started out as a solo act and has gone through many iterations,
with Laura Lee Schultz (Queazy, New Years Resolution, Skinjobs) at its core. As a result of releasing three full
length albums, an EP and numerous singles, the project has forged an eclectic musical path with engaging and
dynamic soundscapes inspired by genres such as post-rock, shoegaze, hardcore, slowcore, and no-wave.
With the move to Belgium, the project gained a new perspective and transformed into a live band tour de
force. At the beginning of 2020, the European stint of the project, featuring Kwinten Gluehorse on bass and
Jonathan Frederix on drums, began touring the critically acclaimed Steve Albini recorded album, 'Bury The Sun'.
When the band toured Belgium, France, and The Netherlands, they played highly dynamic and energetic
shows, and they were invited to tour with the Sisters of Mercy in Italy.
In the wake of the pandemic, the project was put on hold and the move back to Canada was unquestionably
needed. To cope with the turbulence surrounding the world, Laura Lee (LL) created more music to deal with
the isolation and depression. In anticipation of the onset of the endemic, the idea to start a live Canadian version
of the band was conceived. With Chris Carlson on bass and Andy Ashley on drums, the Okanagan Valley trio
weave a trail of thunderous guitars and pounding drums along with LL's voice, which carries the undeniable
harsh truths of life.

TIMJASPY
Bass player and multi-instrumentalist Tim Parent (aka Timjaspy) has been looping on stages and backing up bands around Vancouver since 2004. As bassist for over two decades in metal/fusion trio Ninjaspy, he developed a high-energy percussive style of playing, impressed upon audiences and musicians across Canada and internationally. Now a member of 8 piece party sweat-machine Five Alarm Funk, his bold approach to bass grooves continues to break genre boundaries and still fit snug in the pocket. Not afraid to re-arrange songs from any style, his solo performances also include keyboards, guitars and multi track loop pedal accompaniment, streamlining familiar sounds into improvised elements of funk, RnB, jazz-fusion and hip-hop.
