Join us for the King Eddy Opry — a distinguished evening featuring special performances from the best that country and folk music have to offer, filling the historic King Eddy with songs for the soul.

On September 7, explore the rolling grooves and roomy, soul-inspired harmonies of singer-songwriter Bennett Mitchell at the King Eddy Opry, hosted by Calgary's songwriting sweethearts Carter Felker and Amy Nelson.

About Bennett Mitchell

Sled Island called Mitchell, “Like Harry Nilsson or Cat Stevens before him, Bennett Mitchell is a folk singer-songwriter who can skitter around genres and ornate production styles without losing sight of his core — an original voice with a distinct point of view. On this year’s Mouse, his third album, he rambles and reflects atop spare, bouncing instrumentals.”

Bennett Mitchell is a songwriter and producer born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, exploring love, life, confusion and an endless catalogue of musical fashions to build rolling grooves and roomy, soul-inspired harmonies. The music draws from folk roots that nod to a pastoral wistfulness of Country music's past and sets us dancing to the tender parts of life.

About Amy Nelson and Carter Felker

Alberta's very own honky-tonk sweethearts, Amy Nelson and Carter Felker, will host our exciting new King Eddy Opry series. Showcasing some of Alberta's finest country and roots music, these two bring their own incomparable blend of storytelling through song, cutting through the noise. No pretension, just good ol' country music.
