Kate Greenland

 

Kate Greenland has been an active member in the Ottawa music community for the last decade as both a performer and organizer. After years of being asked about where to listen to her recorded music she is finally releasing her first full length album of original Country songs. On November 8th Kate and her band will be performing the full album live - for the first time. The album, titled Longing & Dreaming, is a collection of songs about love, loss, grief, and dreams - all conveyed through beautiful melodies and evergreen lyrics.

The band is chock full of some of the Ottawa area’s best musicians including Stuart Rutherford on pedal steel, Matt Aston on drums, Nathan Smith on fiddle, Brent Weatherall on guitar, and Chris Breitner on bass. It also features Brianna Herdman on trumpet, and Leeny Jones and Chloe Laberge on vocal harmonies.

Singer-songwriter Campbell Woods will be opening the show with a set of his contemplative Folk songs that are rooted in tradition, yet reflect a contemporary life.
