Live Acts Canada Presents:
Ka Pala
+ Antoinette
+ Blake Unruly
+ Wild Friar
Ka Pala (Vancouver) // https://www.facebook.com/kapalatheband/
Ka Pala is a Vancouver-based surf pop/rock band that plays tuney grooves and music songs guaranteed to make you bop or your money back! (Edit: No Refunds). Formed back in early 2017, this 4-piece boy band hates the fact that they just described themselves as a boy band. Check out their debut EP, Moon Eyes, available anywhere and everywhere!
Antoinette (Vancouver) // https://www.facebook.com/AntoinettesMusic/
In a sea of auto tune and scantily clad bodies, Antoinette strives to be an island oasis of hooky melodies and female empowerment. Although still a newcomer to Vancouver’s music scene Antoinette has quickly established herself as an in-demand singer and musician, playing local venues 3-4 times a week. In 2017 she self recorded, produced and released her first EP Rush (Oct. 2017) and subsequent single Killing Time (April 2018). In spring 2018 Antoinette enlisted some of her talented musician friends to join her onstage as “The Latest” and the rest is history. A powerful singer with expressive lyrics, Antoinette’s music is relatable and infectious. Add the musical prowess of her band, “The Latest,” these songs are brought to life with a strong focus on tight harmonies and grooves. Teaming up with Juno-nominated Producer Tom Dobranski, Antoinette & The Latest will be heading into the studio to record brand new music to be released in early 2019.
Blake Unruly (Vancouver) // https://www.facebook.com/BlakeUnrulyMusic/
Blake Unruly is an interactive and introspective performer who makes your hearts thump and your boots jump. His Coast to Coast living, breathing in the Canadian experience, has resulted in a blend of music that catches the ear, and the soul, surmising likes wows and woes. His songs just to the truth of the matter and then slip on the ice. A man from many places, his music boils down his random life experiences in an ear-catching sound. He plays with the mighty Mike Lenz on Bass and the Tremendous Julian Stark on drums.
Wild Friar (Vancouver) // https://www.facebook.com/wildfriar/
Intellectual s**t-rock band based out of Vancouver B.C.
