New Zealand master of intergalactic funk, K+LAB, has been rocking dance floors and bringing the heat to the masses since he first burst onto the scene with his debut album "Spacedirt" in 2013. An ever-expanding galaxy of FUNK, K+Lab's sound is always absorbing and incorporating a seemingly endless array of influences and vibes – the head-nod aesthetic of hip-hop, the futuristic techniques of Glitch-hop and the fury of drum n' bass – all tied together by an orbital pull of all things funky. Unlike anything else occupying the sonic landscape today, his music Armed with his signature keytar, K+Lab has been touring relentlessly for years, conquering dancefloors across Canada, Australia, USA, South America and his native New Zealand.
2016 brought release of his sophomore album, The Worldy's (Released on Gramatik's Lowtemp label), his 2nd album to be nominated for Electronic album of the year at the New Zealand Music awards which was followed by a slew of successful singles including “Clap Ya Hands Now,” a collaboration with fellow funkmeister Stickybuds, that held the #1 spot on the Beatport charts for months and was picked up for the Spiderman Homecoming Trailer. A steady release schedule and an ear for Original, fresh and fat productions has solidified K+Lab as the best selling Glitch Hop artist of 2017 on the Beatport charts. The momentum from these releases powered the motherships thrusters and set the Captain K+Lab off into orbit on a long headline tour in support of The Worldy's album. His incredible, tight live performances have also garnered high profile slots at some of the world's most lauded dance festivals like Oregon Eclipse, Shambhala Music Festival, Breakfest, Motion Notion, Rainbow Serpent, Northern Bass and Earth Frequency. Keep your eyes open and your ears ready for K+Lab, a sonic supernova burning bright in an infinite galaxy of sounds.

Flatland Funk - Savage Antics [Out Now]!
While there are many DJs across the planet who illuminate their hometowns with a strong music scene, there are only so many who make a global impact with it, and although some DJs may see a lot of cities, the most successful ones are those who are no stranger to the three most powerful places on earth: the studio, the chair of a record label, and the biggest festival stage to be found.
One such Canadian artist, aptly named Flatland Funk for shaking bassbins near his home in Saskatchewan (which he calls the flattest land in the world), is making waves that tear through his territory and beyond, getting plays from gigantic global artists such as: NGHTMRE, Dirty Audio, Young Bombs, Pixel Terror, Jinco, MAKJ, Blasterjaxx, Dyro, Meaux Green, Tommy Trash, Bombs Away, and many more. From his fervent following at his former weekly “Flatland Fridays” in Regina to the airwaves abroad, he is one of the hardest working rising stars in Canada, wearing many more hats than just a set of headphones.
Flatland Funk is a DJ, producer, promoter, and label owner whose growing popularity is rooted in a mind-blowing discography that has amassed over 60 releases of his own music, with face-melting EDM hits across several subgenres charting incredibly high on Beatport’s top 100 and skyrocketing Soundcloud plays. His work is a staple on many top shelf hard-hitter labels such as Play Me Records, Central Station, Bomb Squad, Big Fish, Peak Hour, and most importantly, his own. As the label owner of Pyramid Recordings, Flatland Funk puts his devotion to music on a separate playing field, actively zeroing in on the vast knowledge base it takes to run a label and curate a world of artists’ work to one brand that will influence both fans and DJs alike.
As one of Alberta’s Boodang Music Residents, the larger stages of the Canadian festival circuit would feel incomplete without him, and his festival performance journey never ends. Nearly 30,000 fans rushed to Chasing Summer Music Festival this year while Flatland Funk was packing his tracks to heat up the stage. With a swelling interest by the industry for his crowd-quaking, earth-shattering drops, his remixes, and his expertise in the scene in general, it is no secret whatsoever that Flatland Funk can attract a crowd that is larger than life, and has earned the spotlight he currently holds with his strong career that has spanned well over a decade of hard, banging, professional-level work.

Dr.J began his life-long love of music in 1985 when he purchased his first vinyl LP – a copy of Grandmaster Flash’s “They Said It Couldn’t Be Done”. After years of collecting he bought his first DJ mixer from a high school friend in 1991 and started experimenting with mixing and scratching with an array of make-shift equipment and remnants from his mother’s record collection. October of 1994 marked his first public appearance as a DJ and he hasn’t looked back since. From his humble start doing small electronic parties in his hometown Regina, to his hosting duties at the legendary Lydia’s “Souled Out”(one of Canada’s longest running electronic music weeklies) he was able to make a name for himself as both a promoter and respected DJ in Canada’s electronic/rap music scenes. Dr.J currently tours the country with his funk-infused DJ sets, hosts the long running “Expansions” radio show, and runs Roots Forward Records – an all vinyl label devoted to releasing rare and unreleased 80’s and 90’s rap music, and Funky Pops Records - a label specializing in new funk music from around the world. One word sums up Dr.J – F.U.N.K.
While there are many young DJs across Canada trying to burst onto the scene, one artist from Saskatchewan has been making his presence known. In the last half of this year he decided to rebrand
himself and it has been quite the ride. STVNK FVCE, a dubstep and trap producer has had his debut
release flying around the edm community, and also has gained support from many local artists. During his 6 month tear through the province he has been support for big DJs such as Flatland Funk and Drezo.
In early 2019 he already has his sights set on expanding to more cities and provinces making his fans
smell the STVNK where ever he goes
