The Jimmy Swift Band and Grand Theft Bus helped to redefine the live music scene on the east coast throughout the 2000s. Though both bands have unique sounds and influences, the infectious grooves of JSB and the melodic chaos of GTB found a common audience at festivals and venues across the country—who embraced the bands’ love of improvisation, experimentation, and shenanigans.

 

GTB and JSB did several tours together across Canada, growing a large fanbase that has sustained for over 20 years. The legendary “Seamless Sets” shows further raised the improvisation bar—with dual setups and inter-woven changeovers that yielded moments of unhinged and uninhibited musical exploration.

 

For the first time in over 15 years, JSB and GTB are back for a Seamless Sets tour of eastern Canada. For four nights across three provinces, the bands will be combining forces for a celebration of fearless experimentation and the improvisational spirit.
