Artist Bio

JOJA* MAC is a Toronto-based independent singer-songwriter whose work is rooted in emotional honesty, vulnerability, and intentional storytelling. "WINDOWS", a collection of songs written over a five year period, signifies JOJA emerging from the privacy of writing in her living room to sharing songs publicly at community-driven listening sessions, songwriting circles and open mics. These experiences have shaped her as an Artist. At the core of her music is a desire to create connection. Her songs explore nuanced experiences of identity, relationships, resilience, and personal growth with a level of sincerity that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable.

Musically, JOJA is evolving toward a fuller, more expansive sound while preserving the intimacy and rawness that is defined by her songwriting. Stay tuned for upcoming announcements of her full band sound and produced singles coming later this year!
