Jeff Meleras and the Bokonons, will be joined by some of Ottawa's finest musicians to finally help officially release the 2019 album "Love Trumps All". This album was recorded mostly live off the floor at Little Bullhorn Studios back in 2019, but because of you know what (the pandemic), we never really got to do a show and celebrate it and instead moved onto other things. These other things included the formation of Jeff Meleras and the Bokonons, who have now released three albums with another one on the way as well as an EP, which should both see the light of day later this year.
Love Trumps all features a couple of "Trump" songs but also and most importantly celebrates the power of Love. We will focus on the latter because we are all trumped out after 9 years.
We are very psyched and excited to be joined on the bill by the eclectic Nashville based sister duo of Hanna and Madge, who will be doing a set of their excellent pop rock folk tunes. It promises to be a fun night filled with good music, stories, and hopefully lots of good feeling, smiles and laughter! Where else but at the Red Bird can you watch a young up and coming female pop rock band from Nashville share the bill with a bunch of middle aged Americana Folk rockers? Hope to see you there!

Hanna x Madge have played hundreds of shows all over the world, from performances in Nashville's famed Bluebird Cafe to the historic Crane Bar in Galway, Ireland and venues in Portugal, Scotland, England, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and more.
In 2020, Hanna x Madge created TeaTime & Tunes, an Instagram livestream series dedicated to celebrating storytelling in all its forms through conversations with acclaimed authors and songwriters. Since its inception, Hanna x Madge have hosted more than 100 episodes of the show and had spoken with special guests such New York Times bestselling authors V.E. Schwab, Holly Black, TJ Klune, Marissa Meyer, Jenna Evans Welch, and Stacey Lee as well as Grammy-nominated folk singer Mary Gauthier.
The Nashville based duo Hanna x Madge, comprised of sisters Hanna and Madge Ross, met through their parents. Lovers of all forms of storytelling, Hanna and Madge craft their confessional, poetic, sometimes fairytale-tinged songs in their tiny string-light-covered home studio between laughs, snacks, and story swaps. Their music has been described as the lovechild of Taylor Swift and Simon & Garfunkel. Other musical influences include 90s alt acts Beck and Cake as well as harmony-driven groups like the Indigo Girls, Hanson, and Haim.
