Jeff Meleras and the Bokonons

Jeff Meleras and The Bokonons are an Ottawa based Americana style band formed in the summer of 2021. The band is comprised of songwriter/guitarist Jeff Meleras, producer, engineer, and multi instrumentalist Dave Draves, the legendary punk, folk and rock veteran multi instrumentalist Chris Page, he himself one of the finest songwriters around, and Piet Masone, whose magical harmonies and vocal gymnastics are like no other. They will be joined on bass by new band member Michael Zikovitz.

Derp Grier Down is their new release, a follow up to The Friday Night Sessions which popped in January of this year.

The Bokonons sing about human folly, alien visitation, societal division, loss and longing, and the pending apocalypse with just a small smattering of tentative hope sprinkled in for good measure. The Bokonons are very psyched as well
to announce that the excellent songwriter and musician Jon Hynes will be getting things going with an opening set.
