Before Jaguar was Jaguar, there were friends. A community of musicians with a love for the sound of time past. A passion for classic soul and funk music mixedwith a modern ear and appreciation to form a group as capable and comfortable with Ray Charles as they were D’angelo. Jaguar began in 2013 as nothing more than a name for a poster, on the night when the Original Six took the stage for the first time.

It’s been more than four years since a group of musicians flying the Jaguar flag first performed. Through the years, Jaguar has worked with a multitude of talented Vancouver musicians. Since settling on a 7-piece instrumentation, the boys have sold out clubs all over the city and played for thousands of screaming fans. But as circumstances and situations are known to do, things changed. After a year’s hiatus, the fellas took the stage for a sold-out comeback show at Studio Records in July of 2016. Despite the excitement from fans of the fellas, all signs pointed to that July night as the final chapter in the Jaguar story. A celebration was had, moments toasted, and a fellowship forged. There are many fond memories of gigs, venues, crowds and moments.

Then things changed.

With a new team, sound, original music, and focus Jaguar returns to remind you what it’s like to lose yourself. Keep up, because what we’re bringing to you is worth waiting for.

What started as a weekly jam session has become a six-piece group playing ultra-hooky indie pop/soul. Bandleader and vocalist Guy Wilkins' heartfelt songs and engaging stage performance is supported by
bombastic brass and a rock-solid rhythm section holding it down.

Nick Ellis band is exploding on to the scene as one of Vancouver’s top country groups.

Formed through love of music, the band takes influence from all types of music including jazz, rock, pop, and classic as well as modern country.

The core group consists of Capilano University music students Nick Varelas (vocals), Adrian Sowa (guitar) and Francis Henson (guitar), who take these musical styles and infuse them into a signature modern country sound.
