Isaac Baronikian - For The Road w/ lilydipper

With songs and sold-out performances that have earned him community radio play across Canada and comparisons to Jack Johnson, John Mayer, and Bahamas, Isaac is carving out his own slice of space as a mellow-sounding songwriter with relevant things to say.

Coming of age in the west end of Toronto’s downtown with an eclectic family CD collection of Talking Heads, Steely Dan, The Beatles, and mid-2000s indie radio, Isaac spent his adolescence geeking out over music and media.

Now living in Ottawa, ON, and writing to the sounds of post-Toronto-indie-folk-recession-rock, Isaac sings about the way things are and where they might be headed. With his sharp observations and soft baritone voice, Isaac’s songs come across like conversations with an old friend.

Isaac’s debut singer-songwriter record, For The Road (2026) was self-produced with support from the City of Ottawa’s Creation and Production Fund for Professional Artists and a successful GoFundMe fundraising campaign.

lilydipper is a Toronto-based band weaving together a traditional folk sound with modern Canadiana storytelling.

The four-piece is made up of Jacob Macpherson (guitar, vocals), Emma Cooper (vocals), Matt Cooke (banjo, mandolin, vocals) and Stephen James Orr (guitar). Their arrangements balance raw acoustic textures with tight vocal harmonies, evoking campfire warmth and dive-bar singalongs.

In July of 2025, lilydipper released their debut EP, friend of a friend - a collection of songs about falling in love, breaking up, and everything in between.
