Learn all about herbal medicines from plants that are grown in the Calgary area! This hand-on workshop will teach you about the medicinal properties of common plants, best practices for preparing plants for medicinal purposes and guide you through making three kinds of herbal remedies for you to take home.
What you'll learn:
Medicinal properties of common herbs and foods
The difference between teas, tonics, tinctures and more
How to harvest, prepare and store plants for medicinal purposes
Participants will make:
Healing balm with calendula and comfrey
Antiviral sage tincture
Garlic and mullein infused oil
