Description
We invite you to join us for a community gathering hosted by interdisciplinary artist, fanny kearse. As part of this opening gathering, we’ll be showcasing three bite-sized performances from artists taking part in our new initiative, the Convergence Cohort: Kristina Lao, Alyssa Samson, and Van Le Fan. The goal of the evening is to connect artists and community members from across disciplines, facilitating community connection and collision of art forms.
Continuing our collaboration with DigiBC, we will be activating select SIGNALS exhibitions during IndieFest 2025. Available to explore during our opening gathering are Voxelite, a 120,000 LED volumetric light sculpture by Tyler Soon, as well as Imagining Good Futures: Thunderbird Dreams, a mural that depicts stories from multiple generations of Indigenous artists. Created by IM4 Media Lab the mural invites Indigenous youth, Elders, artists, and technologists in a shared exploration of care, sustainability, unity, and kinship.
