Improv 201: Intro Part 2 - 6 WEEKS

Improv 201: Intro Part 2

This is a six week course with sessions running 2-4pm on the following Satrudays:

November 8, 15, 22, 29, December 6, 13.

Classes are for students aged 18+

Prerequisite: Improv 101, or the recommendation of a Calgary Improv School instructor. Ask Devin if you have questions about your level.

Please register with your preferred name so we know who will be in the class and what to call you!

Continue building on what you learned in Improv 101, and wade into spontaneous agreement, character, and stage skills.

Note: If 13 or more registrations occur, this class will be split into two separate classes running simultaneously in different rooms with different instructors. Students who register will be notified if this split occurs, and will be given the option to indicate instructor and classmate preferences.

Instructor (Class 1): Andy Stefanato

Andy is one of the artistic directors of The Kinkonauts Improv Theatre Society. An improv veteran with over a decade of stage experience, she has performed on stages across Canada and the US including Calgary, Edmonton,Vancouver, and Chicago. Andy has studied with the Improv Guild, Loose Moose Theatre Company, The Kinkonauts, and The iO Theatre. Previously the Education Director for the Kinkonauts, Andy has been teaching improv for ten years, and she currently holds a master's degree in Education.

Instructor (Class 2): Owen Chan

Owen is a co-founder, coach and performer with the Kinkonauts.

Owen started as a member of the UBCi Improv Club in Vancouver in a different century. He has trained at festivals around North America and at the iO in Chicago. During his down time you might find him juggling, playing board games, chilling with his cats, or wearing bow-ties.
